This issue started after I uninstalled bit office and installed bit O But every now and then this pop-ups when I open an email through web mail using Microsoft Edge Chromium , which was sent to me as an attachment. I had the same problem and nothing worked I was at the end of my nerves and I decided radical approach I don’t know if this can affect something important, but on my PC everything worked well like it should Here is what I did :.

All in all I didn’t have a need to do so, it works well and without Mail , so that was my solution After all I didn’t want to repair anything or reinstall I have to add that after some time, Windows 10 created Mail key folder with sub key Outlook and annoying message reappeared So this time, I removed Mail key folder and recreated one empty, right click on it and choose Permissions.

Then I opened preferences of that owner and I saw that permissions were set to allowed and greyed – you can’t change them I clicked on that and windows asked me to enable inheritances and allow permissions to be changed – I’ve chosen first option – only that key not all keys I unchecked Full Control and Read that were previously checked and applied changes to all opened dialogs Then I closed registry Now we’ll see if Windows 10 will be able to modify that Mail key folder as permissions are not allowed Only time will tell if the annoying message will reappear We’ll see, that’s all from me I hope I helped someway Was this reply helpful?
